At least 30 people were forced Saturday night from their Omaha apartments during a fire, authorities said.
No one was injured in the blaze at the Hillsborough Pointe Apartments complex, which is near 144th Street and West Maple Road.
The fire was subdued about 10:30 p.m., about an hour and 15 minutes after it began, said Tim McCaw, an Omaha Fire Department batallion chief.
Firefighters initially believed people were trapped in a third-floor apartment, but they found no one, McCaw said.
Fourteen apartments at the complex at 4168 N. 146th Plaza were damaged, McCaw said.
The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation.
The Red Cross was at the building assisting the displaced residents.
