This time, Omaha comes into the game having won five of six games and 12 of 15 to enter the last week of 2012 in fifth place in the USHL’s Western Conference. … Goalie Alex Lyon is 8-1 in his last 10 games, including wins in his past four. In that stretch, the Yale recruit has a 1.65 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage. … The Lancers are 8-3 at home this season and have won their last four and seven of the last eight at Ralston Arena. ... Four players — forwards Robbie Baillargeon, Connor Chatham and Jake Randolph, and defenseman Matias Cleland — lead the team with 19 points apiece.
Tri-City scouting report: The Storm (12-13-3) are in seventh place in the Western Conference but are just six points out of fourth place. ... Forward Trevor Moore leads all Tri-City players and is tied for 10th in the league with 29 points. The Denver recruit has 13 goals and 16 assists, and he’s also on a five-game scoring streak. … The Storm is 5-5-3 in road games and has been outscored 43-35 in those games.
