SIOUX CENTER, Iowa — The UNO track and field team opened the indoor season by winning three events Saturday at the Dordt College Invitational.
Sami Spenner set a personal best in winning the long jump with a distance of 19 feet, 11½ inches. Ashley Kildow won the mile run with a time of 5 minutes, 23.16 seconds, while Katarina Zarudnaya finished third in a personal-best time 5:36.35.
Amanda Vorthmann took 3,000 meters with a time of 10:17.54.
The Mavericks return to action Friday at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational.
