“I thought the boys did a great job on Saturday. We competed as well as we could with wrestlers battling illness and injury again this week. I was very happy with Jesse Harlow and his performance. He has done very well in the past two weeks winning tournaments.
Jesse is a very talented wrestler and when he is disciplined he has a chance to do very well week in and week out,” commented York head wrestling coach Chad Mattox.
“Dylan Olmsted wrestled well this week also getting third in his bracket. Dylan had three of the better 182 pound wrestlers in the state in his bracket and to compete like he did says that he is getting ready to really do some good things for districts. Our team continues to use its depth to help us do well at tournaments. Amherst is a quality team that would be in the top 10 teams of all classes because of their outstanding individuals in the lower weights. We were within 10 points of them so I was pleased with our second place finish. We have to continue to work hard in practice in order to keep taking steps forward to achieve our goals.”
