Valentine's Day ice cream

If you're looking for an unusual Valentine's Day gift, e-Creamery, the Dundee ice cream shop, offers a selection of both lovey-dovey and anti-romance limited-edition flavors. There's also Valentine's ice cream flavors for the person who loves chocolate more than any human being, a set created especially for kids, one featuring nothing but gelato and a dairy-free pack featuring seasonally-named sorbetto.

The Scoops of Love four pack of flavors includes xoxo, a mocha almond fudge ice cream; Love Potion #99, red velvet cake ice cream with cream cheese frosting swirls; Swirls of Love, which has sea salt caramel ice cream and chocolate covered pretzels; and Happy Valentine's Day, the classic strawberry ice cream.

The bundles are $49.99 for four pints and $89.99 for eight pints. For more information on the special bundles, visit ecreamery.com.

Other award winners included Rotella's Italian Bakery, which won the Purveyor of the Year Award, and Matt Warren of Anthony's Steakhouse, who won the Harold Norman Excellence Award.

The ORA's new board of directors are president John Wade of Restaurants Inc., vice president Danielle Emsick, La Casa Pizzaria; treasurer, Dan Preusser, Omaha Steaks; secretary Melinda Foley, ConAgra Foods; and immediate past president Katie O'Connor, O'Connor's Irish Pub.

Catering company donating to charity

Abraham Catering's “A Casserole to Go” website, which lets consumers order an already prepared dish that serves 10 to 12 people, is donating 10 percent of all its sales during 2013 to Cure Search for Children's Cancer, a national childhood cancer foundation.

The casseroles on the site are $39 plus tax and come in flavors suited for breakfast and dinner. Flavors include french toast casserole, egg strata, chicken divan and vegetarian lasagna, among others.
