SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Creighton women’s basketball team came into Monday night’s game against Missouri State leading the Missouri Valley Conference in 3-point shooting at nearly 38 percent.
That designation is safe, as the Bluejays made 40 percent of their 32 3-point attempts on their way to a 73-53 victory.
With 13 makes from long range, CU now has seven games this season where it has hit at least 10 3-pointers.
McKenzie Fujan led CU with 15 points. Senior Ally Jensen had four 3s for 12 points.
The Bluejays never trailed. They hit 12 of their first 18 shots and led 31-15 with 8:51 to play in the first half.
Missouri State fought back to 33-23 before freshman Marissa Janning banked in a half-court heave to make it 36-25 at half.
The Bears would not recover in the second half as Creighton cruised to its fifth 20-point win of the season.
Creighton next hosts Northern Iowa at 7:05 p.m. Friday.
