NBA scouts have been regular attendees at Big Ten games in the first three weeks, and with good reason. The league has a healthy crop of prospects for the June draft.
Especially at Michigan.
The website NBADraft.net has four Big Ten players slotted in the first round, and three are Wolverines. Five other Big Ten players are projected second-rounders in the two-round, 60-player draft.
First-rounders: Indiana sophomore center Cody Zeller (No. 2); Michigan freshman wing Glenn Robinson III (13); Michigan sophomore point guard Trey Burke (18); Michigan junior guard Tim Hardaway Jr. (26).
Second-rounders: Minnesota senior wing Rodney Williams (32); Indiana junior wing Victor Oladipo (35); Minnesota senior forward Trevor Mbakwe (36); Ohio State junior wing Deshaun Thomas (37); Illinois senior guard Brandon Paul (44).
The projected overall No. 1 pick is Kansas redshirt freshman wing Ben McLemore.
Player of the week: Michigan guard Tim Hardaway Jr. The 6-foot-6 junior from Miami had 21 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over Minnesota.
Rookie of the week: Nebraska wing Shavon Shields. The 6-6 freshman from Olathe, Kan., had 18 points and eight rebounds in a loss to Purdue and 29 points and six rebounds in a win over Penn State.
Quote of the week

Stat of the week
George Marshall of Wisconsin and Jermaine Marshall of Penn State aren’t related, but they shared unusual scoring lines in their games Saturday.
Both were blanked in the first half. UW’s Marshall then scored 20 points in the second half against Iowa. PSU’s Marshall scored 18 in the second half against Nebraska. But both were in losing efforts.
