SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- Megan Dudden scored 12 points to lead the Bridgeport girls basketball team to a 47-41 win over Gordon-Rushville in the consolation game of the Western Trails Conference Tournament on Saturday at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff.
The Bulldogs, who trailed 31-30 after three periods and were down 37-33 with four minutes to play, hit clutch free throws down the stretch to earn third place.
After knotting the score at 37-37, the Bulldogs nailed 8 of 12 free throws. Bridgeport was 14 of 25 from the charity stripe for the game.
Also scoring well for Bridgeport were Olga Aguilar, Tara Harding, and Dina Cantu, who all chipped in seven points.
Gordon-Rushville was led in scoring by Sara Marlatt with 13 points. Hali Sahr and Brandi Roth each contributed eight points.
