Before we had 2006’s “Superman Returns” and this year’s reboot, “Man of Steel,” we almost got a Superman film from the brain of Tim Burton called “Superman Lives.” It was to star Nicolas Cage and, some say, lucky for us it never happened.
But producer and director Jon Schnepp, who has collected “Superman Lives” concept art and scripts, wishes it would have happened, mostly because it would have been epic in its terribleness. He’s proposing a documentary about the film that never was called “The Death of ‘Superman Lives:’ What Happened?” He’s running a Kickstarter campaign right now.
