Qualifiers and seedings for the inaugural state dual wrestling tournament have been made by the Nebraska School Activities Association.
The one-day tournament on Feb. 23 at the University of Nebraska-Kearney Health and Sports Center includes eight teams from each class in a bracketed pool.
Class A’s top seed is four-time defending individual tournament champion Grand Island. The Islanders drew Lincoln Southwest in the first round. Omaha Skutt, David City and Amherst were the top seeds for Classes B, C and D, respectively.
Wrestling for Class B and Class C starts at 8:30 a.m., with the finals slated for 11:30 a.m. The second session, which includes Class A and Class D, begins at 3 p.m., with finals at 6 p.m.
