OXFORD, Miss. — The Nebraska rifle team is in third place after the first day of competition at the Great America Rifle Conference championships Saturday.
The Huskers fired a season-high aggregate score of 2,312 on the smallbore range to come in behind West Virginia (2,335) and regular-season champion Kentucky (2,329). Katelyn Woltersdorf and Denise Martin led the Huskers after each shot 580.
The competition continues Sunday with air rifle.
