William Katt, star of the television series “The Greatest American Hero” and the film “Carrie,” will appear in Omaha this weekend.
Katt is in town to promote his latest work -- the film version of his graphic novel "Sparks." Katt plays the villain in "Sparks," the story of a masked superhero, and is the co-creator of the comic on which the film is based. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Katt and Christopher Folino, co-creator of “Sparks,” will sign autographs at Krypton Comics, 2819 S 125th Ave.
At the Omaha Film Festival, "Sparks" is scheduled to show at 5:45 p.m. Saturday at Regal Cinemas, 7440 Crown Point Ave.
The talk of Katt coming to Omaha had many here humming the theme song to "The Greatest American Hero." That prompted a discussion of what is the best television theme song (with words, no instrumentals) of all time. The theme song for Katt's 1980's show was definitely near the top of our list.
In an informal poll of friends and co-workers, these songs were at the top. Do you agree? What would you say is the best TV theme song of all time?
