G.I. Joe and Bacon Wreath Lasso with Dentures
By Kevin Coffey
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

It may be nature’s perfect food, but bacon makes a very strange artistic statement. If you don’t believe that, check out 15 Bizarre and Awesome Bacon Paintings at the Buzzfeed website. You’ll see painted bacon wreathes, bacon with My Little Pony and G.I. Joe, and, inexplicably, a couple of poses of bacon and dentures.

Check out this site — Happy Batman — for lots of original crayon pictures of the Caped Crusader doing everyday things: eating pizza and popcorn, getting free samples at the grocery store, eating all the Girl Scout cookies. And some not-so everyday things like jousting, riding on a fire engine and dancing in a field of butterflies. The best thing, though, is the big grin on his face in every situation, even when he visits his parents’ graves.

Can’t make it to the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas, this week? Give Couch by Couchwest a try. The Couch by Couchwest website has music downloads, playlists and its own YouTube channel. It kicked off Sunday and runs through Saturday. And don’t forget to check out Kevin Coffey’s coverage of the real deal all week.
