Tuesday’s scheduled softball game between Nebraska and host UNO has been postponed due to Sunday’s snowstorm.
The game will be made up at 6 p.m. on March 26 at Westside Field at Westbrook.
No. 22 Nebraska has won five straight games and is 16-5. UNO is also off to an impressive start with a 22-2 record.
Both teams had players of the week honored Monday.
UNO’s Dana Elsasser was named Summit League pitcher of the week for a third time. She pitched three shutouts to help lead the Mavericks to a 5-0 record at the Tennessee State Tiger Classic. She was named the tournament MVP.
She held her opponents to a .103 batting average and is now 12-2 with a 1.52 ERA.
The Huskers’ Dawna Tyson was named the Big Ten freshman of the week after reaching base in all three of her plate appearances against Wichita State on Saturday.
She homered for her third consecutive game and produced three RBIs. Tyson also established a new career high with two runs scored.
