Known for songs such as “Runaway Train” and “Misery,” Soul Asylum has entered its 30th year as a band. The group still produces new music, including last year’s “Delayed Reaction,” and tours relentlessly.
Soul Asylum will take the stage Saturday at The Waiting Room Lounge in Omaha with local opener Landing On the Moon.
Late last year, founding guitarist Dan Murphy left the band, which leaves lead singer Dave Pirner the sole remaining original member of the group.
The band last played here in 2011 at Red Sky Music Festival. Tickets to Saturday’s show, $20 in advance or $25 day of show, are available at www.etix.com or Homer’s Music.
