Green Day's 'American Idiot' musical coming to Lincoln



Green Day's "American Idiot," a touring Broadway musical based on the rock band Green Day's album of the same name, will be staged at the Lied Center, 301 N. 12th St. in Lincoln, at 7:30 p.m. Friday and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The musical tells the story of three lifelong friends forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia as they search for meaning in the post-9/11 world. The show opened on Broadway in March 2010 and won two Tonys.

Tickets start at $44 for adults, $22 for youths.
