Omaha police say two people were seriously injured early Wednesday in a shooting at a north Omaha restaurant.
A man and a woman suffered gunshot wounds about 1:50 a.m. in the shooting at Chi-Town Chicken at 2229 Lake St., police said.
They were taken in serious condition to the Nebraska Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
An officer who was working off-duty at Chi-Town Chicken reported that a fight had taken place. Minutes later, the officer reported that shots had been fired in the area and two victims, Lavar Smith, 35, and Kisha Criss, 24, had been struck by gunfire.
