Tuesday is Primary Day in Omaha. At stake are the final two spots in each the mayor's race, the seven City Council seats and the nine subdistrict spots on the OPS Board. Only City Council districts 2, 4 and 7 have more than two candidates on the ballot.
Only the World-Herald has provided blanket preview coverage of all news and events related to the mayor's race. Voters will narrow the current field of five candidates – incumbent Jim Suttle, Jean Stothert, Dan Welch, Dave Nabity and Brad Ashford – to the final two.
We've also provided a thorough account of all the key issues and the candidates in Omaha Public Schools board races that are the most crowded since 1978.
The winners in all 17 races will then be decided in the general election May 14.
Stay with Omaha.com for live coverage throughout the day Tuesday, including tallies of the latest poll results as they come in. Tweet us @OWHnews to share your election news, experiences, opinions and pictures.
