Omaha police arrested three people early Sunday after responding to a shoplifting case at a Walmart.
Lester Kent, 28, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and possession of meth; Laura Kendrick, 31, was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth; and Steven Raumaker, 24, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a gun by a prohibited person, possession of a weapon (brass knuckles) by a prohibited person and possession of drug paraphernalia.
While at the Walmart on South 72nd Street, police were told that the occupants of a white Honda Civic had stolen a knife and then fled from the area. The Honda was located near Interstate 80 and 72nd Street about 1:20 a.m. The four occupants of the Civic were questioned by police and three of them were arrested.
