Omaha police say they have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with a recent auto theft.
Police said the theft occurred near South 20th Street and St. Mary's Avenue.
Robert Singleton was arrested on suspicion of theft by receiving and possession of burglary tools.
The vehicle's owner told police that his auto was taken from a garage sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
At about 1:30 p.m. Monday, an officer spotted the stolen vehicle in the area of the theft and the auto was stopped. Singleton attempted to run from the officer but was quickly apprehended.
