LINCOLN (AP) — A Lincoln nursing home says it has treated a patient's room for bedbugs that hitchhiked in on a visitor.
Jennifer Knecht, director of marketing for Tabitha Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, said the facility offers a variety of at-home, residential and health care services to senior citizens.
Knecht said that the problem was discovered Sunday.
She said the bedbugs were brought in by a person who was visiting a resident. They were found in only that patient's room.
Knecht said exterminators were brought in to treat the room and three others nearby as a precaution.
