TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Nebraska will travel to compete in the Alabama Invitational on Saturday.
The Husker men arrive ranked No. 16 while the women are No. 21.
Nebraska earned a pair of titles last weekend at the Razorback Spring Invitational.
Sarah Plambeck won the women’s unseeded 1,500 meters in 4:44.80 and Levi Gipson posted the Big Ten’s second-best time of 46.93 to win the men’s 400-meter dash.
Chad Wright will compete in the discus. He launched a 189 foot, 3 inch throw — the top mark in the conference and 11th in the country — at the Arizona State Invitational.
NU’s Morgan Wilken and Annie Jackson will throw on the women’s side. Wilken used a 172-10 mark to position herself second in the Big Ten while Jackson had a 50-6 shot put toss, third in conference.
The men’s hammer throw will kick off the events at 10:30 a.m. and the running will begin at 5 p.m.
