A power outage in midtown Omaha forced Dundee Elementary School to cancel classes Tuesday.
The Omaha Public Power District said about 2,598 customers in the Dundee neighborhood were without power because of an electrical pole fire at 51st and Dodge Streets.
The pole fire occurred at about 6:45 a.m., causing a circuit lockout in an area bounded by California to Harney Streets and 50th Street to Happy Hollow Boulevard.
By 7:20 a.m., electrical power had been restored to all but 192 customers, including Dundee Elementary on North 51st Street near Davenport Street.
