A 48-year-old Papillion woman who was severely burned in a recreational vehicle fire has died.
Theresa Harazin died Sunday at the Nebraska Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said Monday.
Harazin had been hospitalized since March 29, when the RV she was driving burst into flames along Nebraska Highway 370 near the Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion.
She suffered second- and third-degree burns over most of her body, Papillion Fire Chief Bill Bowes said at the time.
A passenger escaped through a side door and together with passers-by pulled Harazin from the vehicle as the fire spread. The passenger was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
A gas leak in the 1976 Pace Arrow RV caused the fire, which spread to the engine and engulfed the vehicle, Bowes said. — Susan Szalewski
