CANTON, Mich. — The Nebraska bowling team earned the No. 1 seed for the NCAA Women's Bowling National Championship Tournament Thursday, finishing 5-2 during the qualifying round.
The Huskers started off with a close loss to Sam Houston State, before rolling off three straight wins against Vanderbilt, Central Missouri and defending national champion Maryland Eastern Shore.
The Huskers fell 1011-975 to Wishconsin-Whitewater, then won their final two matches against Fairleight Dickinson and Arkansas State.
The Huskers open the first round of the tournament at 11:50 a.m. Friday against Central Missouri
