LINCOLN —The Nebraska Loves Public Schools campaign has partnered with NET Learning Services to provide programming content for the network's “State of Education in Nebraska” series to promote successful programs and people at public schools across the state.
NElovesPS is funded by the Sherwood Foundation and aims to encourage investment in Nebraska public schools from parents, businesses, lawmakers and the community.
The series includes NET-produced programs focusing on various education topics. Each program features experts who provide different points of view and examples of success in each subject.
“Our goal is to share good things happening at public schools across the state,” said Sally Nellson Barrett, executive producer for NElovesPS.
NElovesPS will produce four 30-minute programs that will air on NET2 and online at netnebraska.org/stateofed in May, July, September and November 2013.
NElovesPS has been selected as a nominee for a 2013 Webby awards, the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. The campaign was one of only 11 nominees out of 11,000 applicants in the online documentary series category.
