A University of Nebraska Medical Center investigation of alleged research misconduct has found no evidence of it, the university said Friday.
The research involved the effect of HIV on the lungs and included five UNMC scientists and two at Temple University in Philadelphia. The results were published online by the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
The journal later said an examination of images associated with the article raised concern regarding the data.
UNMC will submit its findings to the federal Office of Research Integrity, as required by federal regulations.
