LINCOLN — Negotiations continue on Midland University’s offer to purchase the former Dana College campus in Blair, the court-appointed receiver for the campus said Wednesday.
Midland University, in Fremont, earlier this month submitted a letter of intent to purchase the campus for an undisclosed amount. The campus has been vacant since Dana closed in 2010. The receiver was given until Tuesday to respond to the letter.
Mark Wagner, the court-appointed receiver responsible for selling the 150-acre property, said there’s been “a lot of activity and discussion” between Midland and his office, but a final agreement has not been reached.
“We don’t have anything inked yet,” he said, adding that he expects the deal to be completed shortly, perhaps within the next week or two. — Leslie Reed
