KEARNEY, Neb. — Michelle Randall's one-time boyfriend Shad Chandler of Lincoln was sentenced to 15 to 45 years in prison for having sex with a girl whom Randall prostituted to him.
Judge Karen Flowers sentenced Chandler in Lancaster County District Court on Wednesday for felony first-degree sexual assault of the 14-year-old girl. With good time, he could be eligible for parole in 7½ years and could possibly be discharged in 22½ years. He was given 17 days' credit for time already served in jail.
Chandler pleaded guilty to the charge in January.
Wednesday was the second time Chandler had appeared for a sentencing hearing. He appeared before Flowers on April 2. However, he showed some unusual behavior that caused her concern, and she ordered him to undergo a competency hearing. Results of that evaluation were unavailable.
Randall, 36, is serving 92 to 120 years in prison for convictions in Buffalo, Franklin and Furnas Counties for prostituting the 14-year-old and a 7-year-old girl.
Chandler is one of five men convicted in the case. The case against the sixth is pending in Lancaster County District Court.
