Tickets are on sale for the Nebraska women’s tennis team’s matches in the NCAA tournament.
The No. 16 Huskers, who won a share of the Big Ten title, were selected to play host to the first and second rounds for the first time in school history. Nebraska’s four-team bracket includes a first-round match between No. 24 Tulsa (19-6) and No. 64 UNLV (19-7) on May 10 at 11 a.m. The Huskers (22-5) take on Wichita State (15-10) at 2 p.m. The event at NU’s varsity courts concludes Saturday.
Tickets are available through the Nebraska ticket office at Huskers.com or by calling 402-472- 3111. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. One ticket is valid for one admission to all matches for the day the ticket is purchased. Tickets can also be purchased on the days of event, beginning one hour prior to each match.
Mary Weatherholt is ranked No. 11 nationally in singles and earned a spot Thursday in the NCAA singles championship.
She will join fellow senior Patricia Veresova as the No. 3 seed in the NCAA doubles championship May 22 to 27. Seniors Janine Weinreich and Stefanie Weinstein give the Huskers another nationally ranked doubles squad.
