Pinnacle Bank Arena has a few concerts on its calendar, but it’s crooner Michael Bublé who will open the new venue in September.
When he performs there Sept. 13, the singer will be the first concert at the new arena currently under construction in Lincoln.
Tickets will go on sale May 17; ticket prices have not yet been announced.
The "Haven’t Met You Yet" singer’s concerts are proving popular. He sold out 10 nights in London and 5 more in Dublin during June and July.
"I’m very excited to get back on the road and perform for my fans. It’s been a while, but we’re rested up and ready to have a big party on stage every night," Bublé said in a press release.
The last time he was in the area, more than 10,000 fans caught his 2010 concert at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
Pinnacle Bank Arena also has concerts on the calendar for country star Jason Aldean, who sold out a show last week in Omaha, on Sept. 19 and pop singer Pink on Nov. 9. Tickets to Pink’s concert are already sold out.
