An OPPD official said Tuesday that crews restored service for about 2,800 customers in Omaha and Bellevue who were without power.
Paula Lukowski, a spokeswoman for the Omaha Public Power District, said 1,905 customers in Bellevue lost power about 1 p.m. when a tree branch fell on power lines. The area of the outage was approximately Capehart Road to Schneekloth Road and from Blackhawk Drive to 43rd Street.
Lukowski also said about 900 customers in Omaha lost power about 2:30 p.m. due to faulty insulators and tree branches that took down power lines. The area affected in Omaha was between Pacific Street and West Center Road from 84th to 90th Streets.
All customers had their power restored by 3:50 p.m., she said.
