The base of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge on the Omaha riverfront will be the location for a new free weekly concert series.
The “Bridge Beats” series, being put on by the Omaha Parks and Recreation Department, will debut at 6 p.m. Friday and be held each Friday night until June 28.
Friday's entertainment will feature Bear Town Singers, a drum group from the Winnebago Indian Reservation of Nebraska, and folk artist Mike Langley.
Parking for the event is free. Guests can bring food and beverages or purchase them from a vendor on site. More information and a map showing available parking.
