A 30-year-old man was shot four times Wednesday, Omaha police said.
The man, who told police he was in a parked vehicle, was shot in the face, back, hand and buttock near 33rd Street and Martin Avenue about 2:15 a.m.
John A. Davis was taken in critical condition to the Nebraska Medical Center. Police said later they expected Davis to survive his injuries.
Shell casings suggested that two people fired guns at the scene, police said.
Davis was conscious and able to speak, though he declined to say much to an officer about what happened.
Police stopped the driver of a Chevrolet Impala near 36th and Jaynes Streets about 10 minutes after the shooting. The driver was taken to Central Police Headquarters to be interviewed in connection with the shooting.
