Papillion moms killing time until the kids get home from school can watch one of the metro area's own on the little screen.
Daniel Covin has landed a recurring role of Hunter on “All My Children,” which is available through Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes. Covin, 19, is a graduate of Papillion-La Vista High School.
Acting became an interest for him since he was a child, he said. After school he would watch Disney on television.
“I told my mom I wanted to be an actor, and she supported me, and I took programs at the Rose Theatre and acted throughout high school,” he said.
He auditioned for the role last December.
“I was so overwhelmed so fast. I was booked for little things and now this big thing has come about, and it's so cool,” Covin said.
As Hunter on the show, Covin described his character as a cocky high school kid full of energy and a wannabe lady's man, but a heartbreaker throughout.
Covin thanked his hometown and upbringing for his recent success, and said without taking risks, he wouldn't be where he is now.
