Creighton University has added extra security following the killing of one of its employees.
A university spokeswoman declined Friday night to answer questions about the new security measures.
Omaha police are investigating whether the slayings of Dr. Roger Brumback, a Creighton physician, and his wife, Mary, are connected to other homicides.
The Brumbacks, both 65, were found slain Tuesday in their home at 11421 Shirley St. Police have declined to release the cause of their deaths.
Police are examining whether there is a connection between the Brumback killings and the 2008 stabbing deaths of an 11-year-old boy and his family's housekeeper.
Roger Brumback was a friend and colleague of Drs. William and Claire Hunter of the Creighton School of Medicine. Their son, Thomas Hunter, and the housekeeper, Shirlee Sherman, 57, were killed March 13, 2008, at the Hunters' home in Dundee. The case is unsolved.
