Wisconsin-based Erbert & Gerbert’s Sandwich Shop is planning two stores in Omaha by the end of 2014. Locations have not been announced, but the company plans to add eight locations total in Nebraska over the next year, a company press release said.
The new-to-Nebraska sandwich chain offers classic sandwich items, such as PB&J and tuna salad, as well as specialty sandwiches like cranberry wasabi chicken and pesto mayo turkey.
Erbert & Gerbert’s is based in Eau Claire, Wis., with more than 63 locations in eight states, including several in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The chain’s growth for 2013-2014 is targeted in Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, and Missouri, with additional franchises slated to open in Michigan and Texas.
