Leaders from nine Midwestern states, including Nebraska, joined advisors from Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad's [url=https://governor.iowa.gov/2011/09/branstad-reynolds-announce-members-of-governor%E2%80%99s-stem-advisory-council/]STEM Advisory Council [/url]Tuesday to discuss collaborative opportunities regarding state and regional STEM education.
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Business leaders from DuPont-Pioneer, IBM, John Deere, Rockwell Collins , Vermeer and Boston Scientific also attended the forum.
Formed in 2011, the council is a 40-member, public-private partnership dedicated to building a strong STEM education foundation for Iowans.
