As the College World Series returns to Omaha, so, too, do the beer gardens, food trucks, cover bands, DJs, drink specials, tailgating and general party atmosphere that goes along with it. Here's a guide to the bars and beer gardens close to the stadium and the parties they're throwing over the course of the next few weeks.

The Old Mattress Factory, 501 N 13th St.
Each year, the Old Mattress Factory converts the massive parking lot next door into Baseball Village, which is home to a huge tented beer garden, assorted local food vendors including Dante Pizzeria and Absolutely Fresh Seafood, a huge stage featuring live music before, after, and between every game, vendors selling T-shirts, hats and other CWS and NCAA apparel, corporate tents, a VIP lounge, various sports equipment vendors, an outdoor jumbo screen, a Dippin' Dots stand and a sunglasses store. A few years ago, the Old Mattress Factory bought and renovated a warehouse just to the north of the bar and restaurant, where they've set up batting cages for kids, a Harley Davidson ride simulator, a mobile Starbucks, a Mizuno store and a Chick-Fil-A.
The Old Mattress Factory and Baseball Village will open each day of the series at 11 a.m. After 9 p.m., Baseball Village will be open only to patrons 21 and over. There likely will be a cover most nights, but not until after the last game of the night, once the crowd begins to grow.
DJ's Dugout, 1003 Capitol Ave.
Normally a hybrid of sports bar and piano bar, DJ's Dugout is canceling its dueling pianos through the series and focusing on the sports fans. This weekend, the bar will open at 8:30 a.m. to accommodate fans, and will stay open throughout the series until 2 a.m., with extended kitchen hours until at least midnight each night.
The Trap Room, 733 N. 14th St.
This brand new lounge just across from the Slowdown serves beer, cocktails and peanuts from vintage ceramic dishes in a cozy, retro setting. No special events, but management hopes it's a refuge for fans seeking a break from the mayhem. Open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and weekends from noon to 2 a.m.
