The public is invited to attend the U.S. men’s wheelchair basketball team’s practice at 7 p.m. Saturday at the UNO Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) building.
The team is preparing for August’s Americas Cup in Bogota, Colombia. Saturday’s practice will be the team’s third and final practice at UNO.
Mike Kult, assistant director of the HPER building, is an assistant coach for the U.S. squad. Kult coached the Nebraska Red Dawgs to two national wheelchair basketball titles in 2011 and 2012.
With a good showing at the Americas Cup, the U.S. team would advance to the world championships in South Korea in November.
