Some bad news and some good news for College World Series fans.
The good news: Rain chances look slim for the next couple of days.
The bad news: Rain chances then increase starting Wednesday night, the National Weather Service said.
So for now, at least, enjoy the ballgames.
The Omaha area has just a 20 percent chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms this afternoon around 4 p.m., the weather service said. Tuesday and most of Wednesday were expected to be dry. Temperatures were expected to peak in the low 80s all three days.
A more active weather pattern should begin Wednesday and continue into the weekend, the weather service said.
Temperatures were forecast to gradually rise from highs in the mid-80s Thursday to the low-90s Friday and Saturday.
Strong thunderstorms developed over central Nebraska on Sunday but did not push east. Winds reached 60 mph at the Aurora, Neb., airport. Hail and heavy rain pummeled many locations.
