Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are rising stars — just look at the larger and larger venues they've been playing.
On Oct. 29, the hip-hop/producer duo will perform at CenturyLink Center Omaha — a large leap from Sokol Auditorium, where they played to a sold-out audience late last year.
Known for songs “Thrift Shop” and “Can't Hold Us,” Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will be joined by Talib Kweli and Big K.R.I.T. in Omaha.
Rapper Macklemore released music on his own label beginning in 2000 and was later joined by producer Ryan Lewis. Their collaboration, “The Heist,” was released last year and was the No. 1 rap album in the U.S. and No. 2 album overall. The album and its singles were considered some of the best of the year by Rolling Stone and Spin, as well as The World-Herald.
Tickets, $29.50 to $82, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.com, the CenturyLink Center box office, Ticketmaster retail locations or by phone at 800-745-3000. There is a four-ticket limit.
