About Pleasure Adapter
Somewhere between The Faint, T-Rex and The White Stripes floats Pleasure Adapter, an Omaha band led by Jeff Ankenbauer (formerly of mad-cap punkers The Shanks). Ankenbauer provides the punk with his barking vocals and thick basslines, while Annie Dilocker lightens things with her serene vocal harmonies and new-wavy synth notes. The combination makes crowds want to dance, not mosh. Pleasure Adapter released a self-titled, six-song EP back in April. Wednesday's show serves as a pre-Fourth of July party. Be sure to get there early. The doors at O'Leaver's open at 7 p.m., and BBQ and a potluck dinner will be served.
