A 46-year-old Lincoln man suffered fatal injuries Monday morning when the car he was driving rolled on Interstate 80 east of Grand Island, the Nebraska State Patrol said.
Howard Beat was taken to Aurora Memorial Hospital but didn't survive, the patrol said.
The crash happened just before 8 a.m. three miles east of Giltner.
Beat had been driving a maroon 1999 Chevrolet Malibu west on the Interstate when he lost control. The car veered into the median, rolled and ended up in the eastbound lanes.
Beat, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car, the patrol said.
