GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A Grand Island man known for acting with the local community theater and working with a church choir was charged with breaking into a woman's house to steal her underwear.
Dillon M. Edwards, 26, was arrested Friday and charged on Monday in Hall County Court with felony burglary and misdemeanor stalking for a September 2012 incident.
He previously was charged with burglary for an incident this May involving the same woman, Ericka Sheehan. According to court documents, Sheehan reported a burglary at her apartment in September 2012. She also reported two other burglaries, in April 2013.
Between the April and May incidents, Sheehan bought a wildlife trail camera for her living room in an attempt to catch any burglar in the act. The camera caught images of a man Sheehan identified as Edwards entering her apartment, according to a search warrant affidavit.
When she reported the May burglary, Sheehan also told officers that 20 pairs of her underwear and some of her bras were missing. She had not previously reported those thefts, according to the search warrant affidavit.
Sheehan told officers she had gone on one date with Edwards, in 2012, according to the affidavit.
