The United Way of the Midlands has hired Jeff Beckman as senior vice president of resource development to lead its fundraising efforts.
Beckman formerly served as executive director of the NET Foundation for Television and Radio.
Under his leadership, the foundation completed a $25 million fundraising campaign. During the five-year campaign, annual giving increased 73 percent and the endowment fund increased to more than $10 million.
“Jeff has an impressive record of growing donations through multiple revenue streams and has established a strong base of donor contacts in the Omaha area,” said Karen Bricklemyer, president and chief executive officer of the United Way of the Midlands.
Before working at NET, Beckman served as executive director of the March of Dimes-Nebraska Chapter, director of planned giving at Children's Hospital & Medical Center, executive director of the Nebraska Children's Home Society Foundation and director of college relations at Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb.
The Pilger, Neb., native is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
