SIDNEY, Neb. — Two Pennsylvania men were arrested in Cheyenne County after a state trooper seized 127 pounds of suspected marijuana from their vehicle.
About 5 p.m. Thursday, a trooper saw a 2013 Chevy Traverse improperly parked just off an Interstate 80 exit.
When the trooper approached the vehicle he smelled marijuana. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 127 pounds of suspected marijuana, one pound of suspected hashish and a small amount of suspected cocaine.
The driver, Kenneth R. Turner, 23, of Pittsburgh, was jailed in Cheyenne County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and public urination. A passenger, Gabriel T. Nowak, 30, of Finleyville, Pa., also was jailed and faces a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
