Eight Douglas County Jail inmates are facing possible felony charges for assaulting an inmate in his cell, authorities say.
Bojo Nesslein, 39, was attacked about 8 p.m. Thursday.
Cameras showed eight inmates rushing into Nesslein's cell and running away soon after, a Douglas County Sheriff's Office report said.
Nesslein told an officer he had been assaulted. He suffered minor injuries, including redness under his left eye, the report said.
Nesslein is awaiting trial on charges of first- and third-degree sexual assault of a child.
Tracy Parnell, who is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Omaha Benson High School student Eriana Carr, 16, is one of the inmates facing charges for attacking Nesslein.
The others: Dhan Gatluak, 23; Michael Jennings, 32; Talon Lee, 25; Diondray Meridy, 21; Johnathan Newte, 25; Ken Scaife, 26; and Monterries Wilson, 26. All are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
