I continuously see an ad for a “tip jar” in a fitness journal I subscribe to.
Originally, I thought it was for tips, as in ideas. But it turns out, the jar is actually for giving yourself a tip (like $1) every time you exercise.
Rewarding your effort is great, especially if there is something useful you are saving for.
A homemade tip jar can also be used to give yourself motivation and to make sure you are getting variety in your diet and in your workouts.
Below are some starter ideas for your “tips.” Write these on little slips of paper, then draw one or more from your jars each day.
Depending on your goals, you can tweak these suggestions. This is a fun way to stay active and be health-conscious.

-Schedule a workout with a friend or family member today

-Add as many push-ups to your workout as you can do, all at once
-Jump rope for three minutes today
