This summer, The Faint is playing only two shows: one in California, which happened last week, and one in Nebraska, which you can catch tonight at the Bourbon Theatre in Lincoln.
What's with the lack of tour dates? “We are busy working on new music and don't have time for more shows now,” says the band's website.
The Faint released “Evil Voices” and three other songs on a tour-only vinyl EP, and the band is hard at work on more tunes.
“I don't know if we're gonna be as picky about what stuff gets made or what. I think we're gonna take a different approach — just making sure that it's about fun and making things instead of waiting and waiting for something amazing to happen and then spending a bunch of time retooling it,” singer Todd Fink told The World-Herald after “Evil Voices” was released.
“I think now we're just trying to get back to the way that it was early on, when we were just making things fast and furious.”
